We have heard chants in our world that Black Lives Matter, Blue Lives Matter, All Lives Matter. As a church we need to pick up the mantra that “Lost Lives Matter.”
You know it is a terrible, terrible thing to be lost. When we are lost we are dead in our sins. When we are lost we have no hope of life after death. When we are lost all of our relationships are negatively affected. When we are lost we are slaves to our sinful nature. When we are lost we are separated from a loving God.
As a leaders in the church it is our responsibility to make sure the mission of the church stays in tact. Too often, even the best intentioned churches can suffer from missional drift. We can slowly let other things become more important than the mission that Jesus gave us to “go and make disciples.”
We must stand in the gap for lost people. If we don’t do it then who will? One of the really big reasons Jesus has left his bride on this planet is to be a witness to those that are lost and far from God.
Remember…
- If everything matters than nothing matters.
- The main thing is to make sure the main thing stays the main thing.
- Lost people matter to God and they should matter to us.
- If we don’t stand up for lost people no one else will.
